Of course in classist Hamilton we only allow this type of safe, healthy economic environment on streets in our precious suburban areas. Traffic moves slower on Wilson in Ancaster all day long than King St. But they are special. They deserve healthy retail, bike lanes, flower medians and local businesses to support. We don't. We're just the poor dumping ground.

You've got to be the only urbanist who looks at Hamilton's suburban arterials with envy. I know every time i have to travel along Upper James, Mohawk, Rymal Road, even Wilson in Ancaster that i return back to the North End thinking boy I wish the lower city's streetscape could be more like that. There is slow traffic and flower medians in the Barton Village, but then we're just the poor dumping ground as you say.
