Raise the Hammer
On Saturday, June 11 th , RHYC is hosting our “Get-Out- On-The- Water” Open House. Originated by Ontario Sailing, “Get-Out- On-The- Water” is a Free Ontario wide event for local residents, families and friends to experience a variety of water sports. RHYC invites Hamilton to come, visit and play.
Please venture down to 555 Bay St. N. on June 11 th between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm for the following events:
Guided tour of the Club – learn about our 125+ years of club history, see our trophies, half models and pictures of world class competitions and competitors. Visit our facilities such as, Evergreen Lounge, Meeting rooms, Bar, Champions’ Room, Patio, Front Lawn, Swimming Pool and see plans of our upcoming New Docks. This tour includes “activities for children” with prizes. Hot dogs and watermelon will be available on the patio, inside the bar will be open.
Kayaks and Stand-up Paddle boards – In partnership with Adventure Attic of Dundas, there will be kayaks and stand-up paddle boards on hand to view and try out, as well as special pricing for anyone looking to “get out on the water”. RHYC has an active and growing kayak fleet who promote the Inner Basin as a “gateway” to paddle sports on Burlington Bay.
All Hands on Deck – Pleasure Sail on Members’ keel boats which will be leaving from the front dock approximately every 10 minutes for a sailing tour of the Bay. Life jackets and safety briefing will be provided.
