The Hamilton Blues Society will launch a brand new festival on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Marked as Hamilton’s “true blues” festival, the one-day event will be held from 2:00 pm to Midnight at the Columbus Club of Hamilton (222 Queenston Road), celebrating blues music in its purest form.
Holding true to the southern roots of blues music, the festival will also feature the delectable tastes of hot Southern Smoke, and cold Mill Street beer, in addition to the performances by some of the best blues musicians in Canada.
Local audiences will recognize many of the performers, including Hamilton’s own The Vaudevillian, who will be performing at 3:30 pm, as well as members of the Blues Society’s Hammer Blues Band with special guests, who will start the festival. Later in the evening, the Hammer Bluesfest will feature a series of co-headliners of Canada’s top blues talent, including Brant Parker and Jack de Keyzer. Vancouver’s Harpdog Brown will close out the night.
Tickets for the Hammer Bluesfest are $25 in advance and $30 at the door, and are available at Dr. Disc, Picks & Sticks, and online through the Hammer Bluesfest website. Tickets are valid through the entire day.
The Hamilton Blues Society is a not-for-profit organization that celebrated its first anniversary in 2014. Our purpose is to promote and document the performance and enjoyment of blues music in the Hamilton area, to forge new relationships and build good will in the arts.

heard one of the artists on CBC while driving. Couldn't write down name of artist but he was magnificent. I'll show up from Toronto for sure - bringing a few musician friends with me, hopefully.
