It doesn't boggle the mind if you consider that the City is looking to attract businesses to the development there that would largely be populated with commuters. I expect that they hope to increase the traffic from 18,000 per day to ... who knows, maybe 36,000.00. Build four more large employers on that strip, keep them beside the highway and let them ingress and egress quickly so they can get back to their homes in Ancaster, Waterdown, Burlington and Oakville. - makes perfect sense to me.
The bigger debate is whether or not that is what they should do.
Personally, I would rather have the business there, down by the highway on former brownfield than in ... Kitchener, say.
