That's why our highways into Toronto are empty and there are not enough buses and trains to go around. That's why the outrageously expensive 407 is always empty and nobody will throw money at it. Canadians are just so fed up with their cars that they will do anything to get rid of them and start using transit, bike, walk or take a balloon.

Your whole mini economics lecture fails to take into account that people are willing to pay for what they want to do, for what they enjoy. Most commuters do not want to take transit, or walk, or bike no matter how much YOU want them to or think they should give up their cars. How do you explain that Neiman Marcus could not keep gold toilet seats in stock when gold first hit $1,000 an ounce. The most expensive restaurants are always the most difficult to get a reservation at. You have quite the curriculum vitae being an expert in Economics, Transit particularly LRT, City Planning, Traffic control and many others.
