I live in the Annex. That retail space is very small (2000 square feet I would say). The reason they are having issues with leasing that space is because the condo corporation has condo fees tacked on (at the same rate as residence), so when looking at renting the place, you automaticaly have to tack on 1000$+ a month for fees.
