with all due respect, I think you're reading too much into my statement. The guy from PW was kind of exasperated and blurted out this claim about needing to change all 30,000 lights in the city and everyone got a good laugh out of it. A GOOD laugh, not an accusing, derogatory laugh. Yes, people still laugh in conversation in 2012 without getting fired or punched. He softened his stance once realizing how ridiculous his claim was, BUT stood firm on his refusal to do anything (other than add 4 seconds) to aid pedestrians at this dangerous corner. That was all.
