Sweet! Here's a good single-person idea for a utility bike. It is an attachment which you affix to the rear triangle, essentially moving your rear wheel back and giving you a "trunk". It can be attached to most bike frames: http://www.xtracycle.com/home.php
And Surly has developed an xtracycle-compatible frame which does away with the "extra attachment" by elongating the frame to begin with: http://www.surlybikes.com/2006_10_01_blo...
Add a stokemonkey and heading up the escarpment with a fully loaded bike becaomse much more feasible... http://cleverchimp.com/products/stokemon...
