hey Grateful Hammer thanks for the nice words. people would care more if they realized how vital transit is to a healthy city. is it any wonder that Hamilton's economy has slowly tanked over the past 2 decades while our transit system has also been decimated during that time? most big media preaches the virtues of highways and therefore, most Hamiltonians could tell you the benefits of a highway to a city's economy (although nobody has ever been able to tell me why those 'benefits' haven't come to fruition in Hamilton even as we've built highway after highway over the past 15 years).

People will care more about transit as they are educated about the incredible benefits of it. As a rep from Portland says - "light rail is more of an economic development tool than it is a transit tool". Lord knows we need more economic development in Hamilton. Streetcars anyone???
