I think that's excellent news, and that gives me some hope that Hamilton will see the light. Toronto being what it is will naturally lead the way in transit improvements and these are all badly needed. In fact I'd argue that considing its size, Toronto's rapid transit coverage is even more lacking than Hamilton's. Only 2 subway lines? (you can hardly count Sheppard). I believe Toronto is the only city in North America with a traditional street car system still in operation (all others have either been scrapped or converted to light rail), this should give them many interesting options for light rail projects. This should catch on in Hamilton, epecially when the economic benefits really start to show.
