Why do we need to "control" them?
As I pointed out in the article hunting is inflating numbers not reducing them. We can choose to protect wildlife and maintain natural balances as best as possible, or kill them and destroy their habitat and encounter the very problems we are now. We continue to reduce habitat so their are more animals on less land so then we think their are too many and kill some more. If we don't kill enough we end up with even more animals than before and less room for them to live. But if we esclelate the killing we will destroy entire populations. Despite current " official" government (hunting lobbied) opinion, we do not have the capacity to micromanage nature. We never have and probably never will. So in answer to your question, we leave them be, protect what we need to and try to live in peace. Animals are far more expert in survival than we are and given enough room and food can do quite well without "control". We need to control ourselves, not nature.
