Lovely shots of a lovely area. The Beach strip has gone through massive changes in the last century. Once a tranquil 'holiday area' for Hamilton gentry, it slide into disuse & worse as bay-area industrialism & the highway went in. Lately though (last two decades) there's been a resurgence of interest in this 'waterfront' location. Property values have sky-rocketed over the past four years. ~ Some good design there, but 'Nantucket' style cluster-condos are also creeping in. Still, definitely worth a visit to 'look-see'.
Two over-riding blights remain: the ill-placed hydro towers that pretty much run the length of the public beach, and two, the beach itself is persistently covered in litter, from ships, careless lazy humans & the wind ...
All in all though, very much an improvement over what used to be happening here not so very long ago. Come see!' ( & put water bottles & Timmy cups in the trash cans provided along the boardwalk, please!!! )
