Well, for one thing the bus terminal/exchange thing is at the other end of the hospital. For another, the long-term (decades off) plan is to go to Dundas.
Main was really the only practical option - I mean, if you ran it down Haddon to get from King to Main you'd probably need to chew a lane off of everybody's front lawns and leave 4 houses without driveways.
