@Bysuburbanite are you on drugs, I was on the O-Train this morning and used my pass and have been for the last 15 years . I have been using it on the train since it opened in 2001! I think you might be confused because for many years it had a slightly reduced cash fare compared to the buses here in Ottawa. This was because there was no way to use tickets that the buses used. Due to the fact that there was no fare box to put tickets in and your cash fare was put in a machine that printed a transfer for you as proof of payment. The point is pretty much settled since the cash fare is now the same as buses due to the adoption of the Presto System here in Ottawa . The fare inspector just scans your Presto Card when there is one.
