if the government were serious about transit they would expropriate the necessary line(s) so that GO trains would have priority or at least equal footing to the freight trains. My son was taking the train back from Sudbury and was hours late because the passenger train had to wait for the CN or CP freight trains to finish using the track. Over the years the various governments have expropriated land for a variety of uses but transit just isn't a priority, like electricity or roads or water.
