Great work Justin and everyone involved. You truly have succeeded in turning Cannon into a complete street. Have been sure to time my car trips from Sherman to Queen the past couple weeks to see how much 'slower' it is. It takes 5-6 minutes on average during rush hour to make the trip in a car. No slowdown at all. Just no more highway danger nonsense.
Also, I suspect we will be in good position to widen the bike lane buffer in short order by adding 24-7 curb parking west of Victoria. The current parking restrictions are from 4-6pm. Morning rush hour is completely fine with only 2 car lanes the entire way. Not sure why the city made this an issue. Is there really a huge crush of people heading west on Cannon in the eve rush hour compared with morning??
