Transportation

Sometimes You Just Can't Win

Some people have too much time on their hands. Mountain residents are complaining about road repairs that are causing delays in motoring.

These are likely the same people who go onto websites to vote for the 'worst roads' in Ontario each year.

The city spends millions fixing them up and they complain about that, too.

Folks in other city neighbourhoods would be thrilled to take this money used to fix roads each year and use it in their districts.

The weather is beautiful right now (save for the smog warning). Keep the car at home and grab your bike. Roads under construction are great for one thing - entire lanes that are blocked off to traffic, allowing for luxury bike lanes.

Enjoy it while you can. You can be sure that none of these streets will receive bike lanes, despite more than adequate road width.

Now that's something worth emailing your councillor about!
