The Ontario Liberal Party just issued an election campaign press release calling on electors to re-elect the Liberals and "keep Ontario moving forward".
Premier Dalton McGuinty is in Hamilton today to try and shore up Liberal support in the city, so it's no surprise that the press release focused specifically on what the government has done - and plans to do - for the Hammer.
The following line is surprising, though:
In Hamilton, the Conservatives would put rapid transit projects through MoveOntario 2020 - including two light rail lines across Hamilton - at risk. [emphasis added]
Perhaps this is just a careless oversight or a misunderstanding, but it appears that the Liberal government simply assumes the rapid transit lines it has promised for Hamilton will be light rail (it is a no-brainer, after all).
If so, someone should send a memo to Council and the transit planners at City Hall: they're still stuck on reflexive support for more buses.
(Thanks to Jason for picking up on this.)

Nice catch! Pretty funny. Well, I'm glad they've said something, because, to me, it was seeming like the issue was going dark.
