One of Mayor-elect Fred Eisenberger's campaign promises was to develop a "shop local" initiative encouraging Hamiltonians to support our own economy by visiting locally-owned shops, cafes and entertainment venues.
I personally make a point of spending virtually all of my 'spending money' at locally-owned shops and have loved the experience since starting the habit several years ago.
This can be a big time of the year for Hamilton¹s family-owned shops and services. Take the time to support them and you¹ll likely find a new fave business that you were unaware of.
