Hamilton Sings Community Choir is not just about singing songs, practicing and playing many different musical instruments - it's about having fun.
It doesn't matter if you're female or male, young or old. They accept you for who you are and not what you look like. Most of us or all of us even become friends within the first week.
When I first heard about Hamilton Sings Community Choir I thought to myself: would they accept me? Did I have to have a great voice to join? Well let's just say they took me in like I was one of their own. They didn't care about the way I looked or how well I could sing.
I made some great new friends along the way and I am proud to call Hamilton Sings my second to third family even though they ain't blood.
I have come a long way because of them, including my good teacher Carlie and my good friend Judy, who have been the most amazing supporters and friends I met after high school. They have made me a better person, encouraging me to stop being shy and say what's on my mind.
Also, they have been helping me in job searching as well as support in my past and letting it go and moving forward to greater things in life.
Sue has been my vocal coach since January 2014. She is the kind of person any singer, fan and person would love to meet and she has even kept and collected the Hamilton Spectator for me because she knows how much I love reading the papers. Thank you for being there for me when I needed you all the most.
All I am trying to say is that I appreciate everyone in The Hamilton Sings Community Choir and that I appreciate everything they did and do for me and the support I have gotten since I first started attending Choir in 2014. I Love you all and thank you all for the life I never thought possible and that it's okay to be yourself - just don't be too negative and be happy that it's a new day.
I am really thankful to have been and be part of something so special and I hope to continue being part of the Hamilton Sings community choir.

Very well written Lynn! And thank you for the 'nod'. You're an amazing young lady who is going to do great things, and I can't wait to share a stage with you.
