As Hamilton slowly struggles to revitalize our downtown core, we can learn from other cities that are world-renowned for their downtown revitalization experiences.

This article highlights two of those cities, Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, B.C., and offers great insights into what makes a city great. Hold onto your hats, Hamiltonians - you might be surprised to know that the answer isn't more highways and big box stores. Surprise, surprise.
