Police are asking for help to find the motorist who struck a cyclist last night and failed to remain at the scene.
At 9:10 PM on Wednesday, July 4, an 89-year-old cyclist was riding south on Grays Road North near Highway 8, when a black Nissan with silver trim, also heading southbound, hit the cyclist and knocked him to the ground. The vehicle "sped off" through the intersection at Highway 8 and did not return.
The cyclist was taken to hospital and is reported in serious but stable condition.
