The Hamilton Spectator has launched a campaign called SpecKids Unlimited to solicit ideas on how Hamilton can make its children happier and healthier.

The campaign team will pick the five most promising ideas from all the submissions and publish them in the Spectator. Readers can vote for their favourite idea, and the winning entry will receive a $25,000 grant to put the idea into action.

If you have an idea, follow the instructions on how to apply. The campaign will accept submissions until May 16, 2012.

The list of community partners includes: An Instrument for Every Child, Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton, the City of Hamilton, Cubicle Fugitive, Freewheelin' Concerts, Hamilton Community Foundation, Hamilton Conservatory of the Arts, Hamilton Food Share, Hamilton Music Awards, Hamilton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Hamilton-Wentworth District Catholic School Board, Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, the Dundas Real McCoys, United Way, Wesley Urban Ministries, YMCA and YWCA.
