Climate Change

Wading into the Future

BBC News reports that the rise in sea levels is accelerating in a manner consistent with the predictions of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

The scientific report, first published in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, confirms, using historical data back to 1870, that sea levels have risen 19.5 cm between 1870 and 2004, and predicts it will rise another 30 cm during the 21st century.

Of course, the corps of climate change deniers have been wading in it for years, but soon the residents of many coastal areas will be forced to join them.
