See this show. Why? I saw Dwayne Morgan's "Grade Eight" performance at last year's Fringe and was moved and impressed by its verbal deftness and its emotional clarity. So I was all pumped up for this year's offering, and I am happy to report that it is equally wonderful.
"I Hate Poetry" is a trio. Spoken-word poets Dwayne Morgan, Tomy Bewick and Leviathan Grant have woven together their individual poems into a seamless, ever changing, high energy, thought-provoking evening.
They push around some sensitive issues and some silly ones, and keep us on our toes. They are not afraid to give us some tender revelations about love, fatherhood and being true to oneself.
