Maybe there are no comments because we have all just given up?

Thanks for posting the addys & phone numbers. I'm sure as soon as we try to contact some of these people, both will be changed P.D.Q..

No not spamming, just having a very cynical evening. I spent a little time surfing tonight, & found out some Extremely depressing things visa vie my own area of Hamilton.

This has happened. (Changes to phone numbers, & email addys of local councellors.) It can & does happen when they get a lot of negative feedback.

This is what I sent them, short & sweet:

Dear Councillors:

Given the choice, everytime someone drives a car instead of using public transportation they cause highway & street congestion, increase the demand for gasoline;

thereby putting upward pressure on its price, and cause air pollution and possible negative effects on the environment.

Also, everytime someone uses public transportation instead of driving, this reduces traffic congestion, reduces the demand for gasoline;

thereby helping hold down the increase in the price of gasoline, and adds much less to air pollution and possible negative effects on the environment.

Therefore use of public transportation instead of driving greatly benefits the city & society and should be encouraged with low fares.

Done & done!

(I have not gotten any replies from P.M. Harper, Premier McGuinty, M.P.David Sweet, or M.P.P. Ted McMeekin, all of whom I emailed on Saturday.)
