Also consider all of the other entertainment and other businesses in the area (such as restaurants) that are dependent on discretionary spending. For every dollar a local resident spends in a casino (owned by a large foreign gaming conglomerate), that's a dollar not spent somewhere else - including a local business that circulates its revenue back into the local economy.
So not only is there a tradeoff of gaming jobs between Flamboro and downtown, there is also much greater potential for lost jobs throughout the remainder of the local economy.
