For our family it's not so much the size of the store, but the availability of certain items at competitive prices - items that are often not available in the smaller supermarkets, especially the ethnic ones. For example, a place where in addition to produce, meats, fish, and staples, we can also purchase items like: Raisin Bran & Cheerios, cat litter, the little fish crackers my kids like, arrowroot cookies, toilet paper & paper towels (in large containers), diapers, vitamins, raisin bread, and so on. Living in Durand, the closest place to purchase these types of items is Fortinos.
