Light Rail

We just received word that the city's public works committee has unanimously approved the Rapid Transit Feasibility Study - Phase 2 report prepared by city staff.

The report recommends that the city focus on building light rail, integrating it with community and economic development policies, starting with the east-west line, and moving quickly and decisively to get priority funding from the Province.

The recommendation must still pass full council in an upcoming meeting.
