Public Works Committee Approves Light Rail Feasibility Study

Light Rail

We just received word that the city's public works committee has unanimously approved the Rapid Transit Feasibility Study - Phase 2 report prepared by city staff.

The report recommends that the city focus on building light rail, integrating it with community and economic development policies, starting with the east-west line, and moving quickly and decisively to get priority funding from the Province.

The recommendation must still pass full council in an upcoming meeting.

awesome news! Now we just need Rob MacIsaac to convince the Metrolinx board that there is actual life west of Toronto.
