Revitalization

Three16 Lounge in Today' Spec

Today's Hamilton Spectator has a great piece on the owners of Three16 Lounge.

"We wanted a cool, funky, urban spot. We would never go somewhere like the Mountain," says Reg [Beaudry]. "Locke Street is too expensive and it's already established. We wanted to start somewhere else. I was just drawn to this area [King St. E. near Wellington St.]."

He says the keys to the core's continued revitalization are attracting creative types such as artists, architects and designers and converting more of the city's streets to two-way traffic.

"I love gridlock. When the traffic is backed up, people stop and look."

Be sure to pop in and see this new lounge if you haven't yet.
