Partial transcript:

Bratina: [6:21 The Metrolinx plan also includes a station at Stoney Creek, or Centennial - somewhere in that area. And that station will fall under the Funding Strategy. And that's fine, but we just needed to make clear - I need to hear for myself when the Premier mentioned, I heard that she had mentioned, the funding strategy for the GO station, well, here we go again. No, no, not James Street North, the future one. That's what it was all about. So it was a simple, uh, clarification that's been blown up into a confrontation between me and the Premier about whether we should have LRT or a GO station at Stoney Creek. [7:06] Now what I did say, and I said this on Steve Paikin's show The Agenda last night, that all we heard about at this big conference was congestion and gridlock and how we're going to fix it. And I was asked by Steve Paikin, I said, do you, he said, do you have congestion in Hamilton, and I said no we don't. Our B-Line LRT is based on development, not on congestion. I said how Hamilton could contribute to congestion is by putting another GO station in at Stoney Creek, because that station would capture not only Stoney Creek but Grimsby, Niagara, it's like - if you live in St Catharines, do you want to drive on a snowy day all the way to Toronto? Or can you just do a nice parking in Stoney Creek and hop on the GO train? That's exactly what happens in Oshawa, because the Mayor of Oshawa said when he gets to the GO station at six-thirty in the morning, it's 75% full from Peterborough, Lindsay, you know, all those people who live in that area. [8:07] So that was - and I'm entitled to my opinion - my suggestion as to, if it's about congestion, then that would be the appropriate measure. But that's not what's contained in our Rapid Ready. It's a B-Line for development purposes.

Lots more where that came from.
