In a June 12, 2012 talk at LIUNA Station organized by Powergroup Communications, real estate adviser George H. Ross, senior counsel of the Trump Organization, points out the amazing development potential of Hamilton, Ontario.
Selected quotes:
"Wow, I wish I were younger. I would invest in Hamilton."
"Have you ever looked at the topography of Hamilton? You've got a hill on one side and a valley on the other side. You ever looked at it carefully? It's made for development! It's not flat. You get up on the hill, you've got tremendous views. You get down near the water, you've got excellent views.
"The only thing is, you've got to have people with foresight to do it. Anybody that got into real estate here in the past ten years is going to do very well. Everybody that goes and does something now, if they know what they're doing, in the next few years I think will also do very well."
"I don't know if you appreciate what you have. I appreciate it, and I've seen a lot."

Pretty remarkable comments from someone who has literally travelled the world in search of development sites with Trump. He's seen it all...

I wonder if there is a more blinder eyed population them the people of Hamilton. I know I am a lifelong Hamiltonian and I suffer from Hamiltonitis too.

Hamilton has always been a city with great potential. We've got potential out the ying-yang. Oodles of potential.
Unfortunately, potential doesn't actually mean a damned thing if you shoot yourself in the foot with every step you take.
