New Fast Assessment Process for Transit Projects

The Ontario government just announced changes to the environmental assessment process so transit projects can be completed in six months. At the same time, the government has prepared a Transit Priority Statement that asserts the "rationale and urgency" for a fast approval process.

GO Transit has already announced that it will follow the new rules on its projects for all-day train service to Milton and extending train service to Bowmanville.
