We are pleased to present the Green Berets 2004 Annual Report on the City of Hamilton (PDF file, 673KB)! The purpose of this annual report is to communicate our thoughts, our concerns, and our hopes arising from the events of the first municipal year of Mayor DiIanni's reign at Hamilton City Hall.
The Green Berets are a diverse group of Hamilton citizens who share a common goal – to help make Hamilton a world-class city. There are ten of us, each involved in our own efforts to improve the quality of life for all Hamiltonians. Three of the Green Berets – Jason Leach, Sharlene Dobson and Ben Bull – appear on CHML's Roy Green show once a month, where they discuss topics related to the success of their town.
The Green Berets mission is to work to encourage Hamiltonians to gain an increased awareness of municipal issues, and to get involved in developing solutions. Our motto is, 'Be Informed. Get involved'.
This report is intended for all Hamiltonians, but for the most part, it is directed toward our city council and mayor, as well as our other civic leaders.
We have organized our report into two main headings:
We have tried to be brief and to capture the 'main events' from the past year. Overall, we hope that this report is useful, informative and constructive in its tone. We welcome any feedback on this report, which can be mailed to us via editor@raisethehammer.org.
