Nice read, humbling and I might say IT took courage to write such things.

In our comfortable middle age, we've been known to curl up on the couch and sip sherry together while watching a BBC adaptation of some nineteenth century novel or other.

Ah yes, and the Hamilton Public Library is a great resource for us old-fashioned middle-age folks. They have a nice collection of those BBC adaptations and dozens of Charlotte Bronte's books!

Her story could not have ended any other way. Discuss.

I wonder why she (Bertha Mason) did not rappel down the long red scarf seen so many times waving in the wind from the tower window? I dunno, I really cannot comment without first hand experience in the real world. I think you did marvelously telling your story however, with just that slight hint of tragedy and plenty of happily ever-after.
