Rather than spending Monday evening discussing, arguing, agreeing with and possibly even shouting at people online, we invite you to do all of those things in person, in real life, while drinking real alcoholic (or non-alcoholic, if you prefer) beverages.
It's the Raise the Hammer Elections Party, where you and a good cross-section of other Hamiltonians who care about local democracy can hang out and have a couple of drinks while the returns come in.
Location: Ceilidh House Irish Pub, 107 George Street, in Hess Village.
9:00 pm 8:00 pm until the election is decided, which is normally around midnight 10:30 pm or so, and then for as long as you like afterwards for either celebrating or commiserating. (Edit: results of the last election were in by 10:20 pm so we've moved the time a bit earlier.)
Come out and cheer for your favourite candidates! With this many in the race for mayor, plus lots in the downtown wards too, it's bound to be a horse race far more interesting than actual horse racing.
Candidates are welcome to attend as well.
We hope to see you all on Monday!
