The Ticats' Go East Mountain website has a link heading on the right side titled "Letters of Support". Given the context, the reader might be forgiven for assuming this is a list of letters of support for the proposed East Mountain stadium location.
In fact, two of the fourteen listed letters - one from the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton and one from the Lung Association - are letters of thanks and appreciation for the Ticats' commendable volunteer efforts, not letters of support for the East Mountain.
Neither letter endorses a stadium location. Only one of the two letters - the letter from the Lung Association - even mentions the stadium. It reads in part: "No matter where the Ticats call home stadium in Hamilton, they are a very important fabric of what makes Hamilton, Hamilton."

Wow, that was fast. Thanks for picking up on my comment mysterious RTH Staff!
I have called both organizations, and they both know, and both intend to write the ti-cats asking the letter be removed from the Go East Mountain site, and posted only on the ti-cats regular site.
They are supporters of the ti-cats, but don't want to get involved, and for good reason, with any stadium controversy.
Great minds think alike - I just noticed your timely comment after we posted the blog entry. Please let us know what the organizations tell you in response to your queries.

Well I had both of them on the phone, and they said basically what I posted up above. They were surprised to learn their letters were there as "letters of support" and they would be writing the ti-cats and requesting the letters be removed from the goeastmountain.com site.
I just noticed that the Ticats have removed these two letters from their Letters of Support list.

i was looking over the website for the east mountain, and it says that all 12 of the mls stadiums have multiple direction highway access within 1 km.
http://www.goeastmountain.com/wp-content...
i went on google and searched the easiest access to both sites, bmo stadium and the proposed west harbour site, and bmo was 1.7km and the west harbour was 2.7km.

so, there's at least 1 mistake in the calculations of highway access on their website. they also misspelled Brantford in the "quote of the day"
