More analysis to come shortly, but here's a really quick, high-level summary of what this means for Hamilton:

Ryan McGreal, the editor of Raise the Hammer, lives in Hamilton with his family and works as a programmer and writer. Ryan volunteers with Hamilton Light Rail, a citizen group dedicated to bringing light rail transit to Hamilton. He is also is the city editor for H Magazine. Several of his essays have been published in the Hamilton Spectator.

The GO improvements are excellent. Electrifying the line to replace diesel and trains from Hamilton every five minutes. This will make the train a very viable option for business travel, not only in rush hour but at all times of the day.
