Raise the Hammer
Visit this new public wildlife / birding area with your leader Bruce Mackenzie, Director of the Bird Studies Group in the Hamilton Naturalists' Club. See how a former sewage lagoon system has been changed into a constructed wetland and the possibilities that it holds for the future.
Take QEW to Fifty Rd, go north on Fifty Rd. to the North Service Rd. Go east on North Service Rd to Kelson Rd and turn left, go one small block and turn right onto Winston Rd and go east 1 km to Oaks Rd. Parking lot is on the north side of Winston Rd at Oaks.
Caution: There is a new stop sign on the North Service Rd just east of Fifty Rd.
