The Mohawk College Community Choir, under the direction of artistic director David Holler, in collaboration with Fanshawe Chorus London and the Redeemer University Sinfonia present Karl Jenkins’ Stabat Mater; Johannes Brahms’ Nänie, and Gerald Finzi’s Eclogue. Special guests, Jennifer Enns-Modolo, mezzo-soprano, and Paul Thorlakson, pianist, will join in this performance at West Highland Baptist Church, 1605 Garth Street, Hamilton, on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

The central piece of the concert, Karl Jenkins’ dramatic and powerful Stabat Mater, is the story of Christ’s death through the eyes of his beloved mother, Mary. “This solemn yet passionate music is the perfect way to start Holy Week, inspiring choral masterpieces for all music lovers” explains artistic director, David Holler.

Tickets are $25 regular admission and $20 for students/seniors and may purchased at the door or reserved by contacting Louise at (905) 526-7938.
