Fire up the grill and put your dancing shoes on, Hamilton's Gore Park Summer Promenade is sure to be a lip-smacking, toe-tapping good time.

The Downtown Hamilton Business Improvement Area is proud to announce the Gore Park Summer Promenade, in Gore Park from 11am to 5:30pm, every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from July 11 to September 15.

The Promenade festival will include local vendors showcasing handcrafted Jewellery, antiques, artwork, health analysis booth, clothing, handmade fashion accessories and all your favorite food trucks from the surrounding area.

There will also be the best local musicians each day performing from 12pm - 2pm, filling Downtown Hamilton with a sound of music that everyone can enjoy.

With the city moving forward with the Pedestrianization Pilot Project in Gore Park, people can expect a new look and feel this summer. With new flower beds, trees and a paved walkway, it should really brighten up the whole block and Downtown area.

We have 3 special themed weeks coming this summer for everyone to enjoy, and you definitely want to keep an eye for them and come out and see our Golf Week : July 25-28, Sports Week : August 8 - 10 and Kids Week : August 22 - 25. We have some special performers coming in these weeks that will be doing something magnificent for everyone .

So the Downtown Hamilton BIA would like to extend an invitation to attend the official ribbon cutting ceremony of the Gore Pedestrian Pilot Program and the Promenade on July 11 at 1:00pm. The launch party will use the talents of the park's vendors to showcase what the promenade has to offer.

Cake will be provided by Sweetness Bakery, and the area's food trucks will be on hand such as Gorilla Cheese and Southern Smoke Truck as well as area restaurants will have their patios open.

Anyone know what band was playing at 12:25?
I heard them as I passed by and I really liked their sound.
