The population is aging and it’s time to talk about how we can increase the convenience of transportation and help people reduce their reliance on their own cars as a way of getting around.

This stimulating session will include an opportunity to learn from major providers and planners about current transportation options, challenges and opportunities. The session will be designed to facilitate important conversations that will allow us to imagine how we can create more integrated options for transportation.

Who should be there? People who provide transportation, older adults interested in the issue and service providers who help people find alternative transportation.

This event has been organized by the Transportation Sub-Committee of the Hamilton Age-Friendly Community Collaborative. Members of the Committee include the Hamilton Council on Aging, HSR, DARTS, McMaster University, and the Seniors Advisory Committee to City Council.

This project is funded by The Ontario Trillium Foundation.
