Come visit us, bring a friend or your family, and help to make a difference in our community. Some of the things you can bring are:
Your old documents to be shredded, such as bank statements, credit card or utilities statements, work documents, personal papers or anything else that has personally identifiable information that you don’t want to be shared. We have it shredded securely, right in front you, so you know that it has been disposed of safely.
Cost: $5/box. Proceeds are given to the Rotary Club of Stoney Creek to launch a new scholarship for each of the 4 Stoney Creek high schools.
Your old electronics to be recycled, such as old TVs, computers, monitors, cell phones and pretty much anything with a chip in it. By recycling your electronics, we can prevent them from going to a landfill where they take years to breakdown and ultimately release toxins into the ground which leach into the water.
Cost: Free
Books you no longer want or use, so that they can go to families throughout the city and help build literacy in our community. All books donated will be given to the Welcome Inn Community Centre to build up their library and promote literacy in Hamilton.
Cost: Free
Non-perishable food items to be donated to the Stoney Creek Community Food Bank to feed someone who’s hungry in our community. Items which are always needed include cereals, baby formula and other non-perishables.
