Just to be fair. Longfellow in Santa Monica is a glorified alley in the scheme of transportation. Funny you should post something about that street as I was on it this past summer. Take a look at lincoln blvd aka the Pacific Coast Highway just east of longfellow to see how Santa Monica is doing on their arterial roads.
Side streets are where the neighborhoods and communities are. I'd love to see the residential streets developed similar to longfellow in conjunction with a reduced speed (45), one way, sync'd main/king with all other streets 2 way. Let the down votes roll.
