That's the problem mystoneycreek, when we put our head in the clouds high above the crowds, someone is gonna-wanna chop IT off for bein' too proud! I prefer to stay out of clouds and crowds.

I don't see that anything that I believe in regarding our local governance as being 'having my head in the clouds'. To me, if you see making things better (against the supposedly unchangeable 'system') as being an indicator of such an attitude...also known as naïveté...then that makes me sad. It doesn't discourage me, because I know there are elemental reasons for many of us to be discouraged.

But to retreat into a self-constructed carapace and surrender...simply because you're assuming a particular result (getting your head chopped off for being too proud)...to me is unacceptable.

As the man sang: 'Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight...gotta kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight...'
