This one frustrates me so much...usually I'm crossing from the southeast corner to the west side. There is a curb cut on the southeast corner, then another directly across on the island...but nothing between the island and Queen. Not to mention that there is a road sign blocking the view of southbound Queen St traffic when trying to make it safely across. On top of this, trying to judge whether cars on Herkimer are turning right onto Queen or jogging 'straight' to stay on Herkimer makes it even more of a challenge. Yup, this one is an epic walkability fail.

Interesting side note...ever wonder why so many of the streets in Hamilton don't line up (aside from destructive 1960s renewal)? Apparently when the British were laying out our grid, they used some sort of metal chain to measure out concession roads and side roads. Over time the chain would stretch and the distance would change resulting in several roads that don't line up.
