Highly doubtful. In Hamilton 57% of transit revenue comes from fares and passes.

You want to talk about transit subsidies, look at how much the cloverleaf interchange at Clappison's Corners is going to cost. A huge gift to drivers, paid 100% throug public monies.

There IS recognition that there are different levels of service being provided. Some parts of the city have great bus service and some have crappy (or no) service. We have a fragmented transit system because of that.
