The question of whether our trains will take lanes Is tired and old, an exhausted refrain And though you might think it's a terrible pain There's nought to be gained by dispensing disdain

'Tis a fact that our car costs are robbing us blind The expense of our roads has our town in a bind And as gas hits the roof many drivers will find They can no longer pay for the steep daily grind

I know that it's hard to break deeply-held habits With the sacred cow car, we're reluctant to stab it But the transit we buy shapes the land we inhabit And if Queen's Park has cash it behooves us to grab it
