I've lived on the east mountain and drive my car on Stone Church quite often and have never experienced a problem, other than between Dartnall and Upper Ottawa where traffic is often backed up. The west mountain is no different. The way the streets were laid out in the neighbourhood Whitehead speaks of makes it easy for local traffic to cut through from Garth to Upper Paradise, so that's what people are doing. Maybe some traffic calming measures are in order instead of blaming the design of Stone Church.
