See, any rework of the claremont would require like a km of jersey barriers to protect pedestrians and cyclists, which is expensive and a lot of work... except for simply reusing the barriers that already exist.

There already is a barrier. The median divider. So, very simple plan: take the entire down-bound half of the claremont access and declare it a park with observation platforms, planters, and a bike-path (with knockdown sticks because omg speed). Paint a yellow line down the middle of the up-bound side. 2 lanes up, 1 lane down.

No new concrete or barriers, just use what's already there. Only reworking would be the intersections at the top and bottom (and possibly a proper intersection for its connection to the Sherman Cut).
